Save Time on Family Tech Support by Sending Them YouTube Videos Instead [Tech Support]

Save Time on Family Tech Support by Sending Them YouTube Videos InsteadAs the resident computer expert, many of you probably get asked to explain things all the time to your less tech-savvy friends and family. Redditor David722 recommends saving yourself the hassle by finding an applicable YouTube video and sending it over.

Obviously, it's good to be helpful, but we can't all be on call 24 hours a day for fixing simple email, backup, or printer problems. Chances are, the very thing you need to explain already exists in tutorial form on YouTube, so you can save yourself a lot of time by sending that over (in fact, we make many of those videos right here at Lifehacker, in the form of our Emailable Tech Support series). So the next time someone asks you for help, search YouTube?or search Lifehacker via Google?and send them a video instead. It'll save you a lot of time, and they'll still be grateful for your help.
